Inspired by a Boxing Day walk at Dunwich — a crisp, sunny winter’s day when the reeds stood tall and still against a glassy pool of water. 
 
In painting it, I found myself blending seasons: the greens of spring trees with the clarity of a cold December sky. Not quite winter, not quite spring — but a memory of both, captured in one scene.
