Taking time to make art can be a wonderful way to pause, breathe and reconnect with yourself – whether you’re a complete beginner, a little out of practice, or simply craving a few hours away from everyday life.

Based near Woodbridge and Martlesham in Suffolk, I offer relaxed art workshops and creative experiences inspired by nature, the coast, wildlife and the changing seasons.

My sessions are designed to build confidence, not chase perfection. You’ll be gently guided through the process, with plenty of encouragement, space to experiment, and the freedom to make your piece feel personal to you.

Whether you’re joining a group workshop, booking a private creative session, or beginning a one-to-one Creative Journey, the aim is always the same: to help you slow down, enjoy the process and create something meaningful.

All materials are provided, along with tea, cake and a warm, friendly atmosphere. You don’t need to be “good at art” to enjoy making something you’re proud of.

Group art workshops usually last 2 hours and cost between £35 and £50 per person, including all materials and refreshments.

Group Art Workshops

Join me for relaxed, friendly group art workshops in Suffolk, suitable for beginners and improvers alike.

Each session has a clear theme, but there is always room to make your painting your own. You might create a seascape, beach huts, birds, hares, reeds, flowers, highland cows or a seasonal subject inspired by the Suffolk coast and countryside.

I’ll guide you step by step, but these workshops are not about everyone producing an identical painting. They’re about confidence, creativity, conversation and enjoying a few hours of proper creative time out.

All materials are provided, and refreshments are always included.

Art Experiences

Looking for something a bit different for a birthday, hen do, team get-together or special celebration?

My group painting experiences are a relaxed and creative way to mark a special occasion, reconnect with friends or treat your team to something inspiring. No experience is needed – just a willingness to have a go! I’ll guide you step-by-step through a relaxed two-hour session, tailored to your group.

You’ll choose your own theme, and I’ll provide all materials and guidance – along with refreshments if requested.

Workshops can be hosted at Martlesham Pavilion (up to 14 people) or at a venue of your choice. I’m based in Suffolk but happy to travel further — a small travel fee applies for bookings more than 50 miles from Woodbridge.

Prices start at £250 plus £5 per person.

One to One Creative Journeys

Focused creative time, designed around you.

These relaxed, personal art experiences are all about giving you space to explore, experiment and reconnect with your creativity, at your own pace, in your own way.

Your Creative Journey is completely bespoke – a calm, supportive one-to-one art experience designed around what you want to explore, whether that’s technique, confidence, expression, nature, or simply the joy of making.

Held in my cosy Suffolk studio or out on location, each session is shaped around you.

We can work from a subject you love, respond to the landscape around us, explore a particular material or technique, or simply see where the creative process leads.

This isn’t about pressure, perfection or following a fixed programme. It’s about gentle guidance, encouragement, curiosity and giving yourself permission to create.

You set the pace, choose the direction, and I’ll support you with ideas, prompts, demonstrations and reassurance along the way.

A 1.5 hour Creative Journey session costs £75 for one person, or £140 for two people, including all materials and refreshments.

For those who’d like to keep going, I offer a Creative Journey loyalty card as a thank-you for regular bookings: your 6th session is half price, and your 12th session is free.
