Create with Carla - New Year Sunrise Seascape

A peaceful and uplifting painting session inspired by the beauty of the sea at sunrise.

Using the colours, light and atmosphere of an early morning coastal scene as our starting point, we’ll explore how to paint a simple seascape full of movement, reflection and space.

You’ll be guided through the process of building the painting in stages, looking at how to suggest sky, sea and shoreline with loose brushwork, blended colour and a few simple techniques for capturing light on the water and wet sand.

The focus will be on creating mood and atmosphere rather than getting caught up in detail, with plenty of scope to interpret the scene in your own way.

Suitable for all abilities, including complete beginners, this workshop is designed to help you build confidence, enjoy the process and start the new year with a calm and creative few hours.
