Workshop Success!

On Saturday I hosted the first of my Beginner's Painting Workshops in the Illuminate Studio at Brightwell Barns. This had been a long time coming, and I was a bit nervous about how it was going to go.

I am pleased to report it was a massive success. 12 guests came along and enjoyed an afternoon, drinking tea, eating cake and painting a seascape scene under my guidance. They all said how much they enjoyed the experience, finding it relaxing and good to do something a little bit different!

"Very relaxing/therapeutic, really enjoyed the class"

The venue was just how I hoped - nice and bright, the walls adorned with artwork and beautifully framed photography, peaceful with gentle background music - the perfect atmosphere to be creative!

I couldn't be happier and I am definitely spurred on to offer more of these mindful, creative sessions.

My second workshop at Illuminate on Saturday 30th March is almost full, with (currently) only three remaining spaces. This one will be a sunrise scene, hopefully incorporating some textured elements.

The April workshop almost coincides with the full moon – the pink moon – so it seems appropriate to try some lovely moonlight reflection work. My plan is to see if I can get hold of some circular canvases for this as they are enjoyable to work on!

If you fancy taking part in any of my future workshops, keep an eye on my events page, follow me on socials, or sign up for my workshop newsletter.
