This piece was inspired by one of those perfect countryside moments – a wildflower meadow full of colour, soft breeze in the air, and that uplifting feeling you get when nature is showing off a bit. The turquoise tones in the sky set the scene, and the little daisies seemed to dance their way across the landscape as I painted.
 
I wanted it to feel light, joyful and full of that gentle energy you get on a peaceful summer’s day – when everything feels in harmony and the world slows down just enough to notice the small things.
 
The original is framed in a simple white floating frame, which gives it a clean, modern finish and lets the colours really sing.
